At the moment im still working nites. The good thing about nites is, When you have them off. Is that you can go somwhere, Stay over. Then drive back home. Then still go to work. The next day.
The down side is. You are missing out on things in the day.

No i was just compaering the auctions. The newark car auction is open to everyone. Same as the bca i went to in nottingham. I enjoyed both, But you can tell the differnce between. The BCA auctions and the normal ones.

I was pulling your leg Paul! I've been to the Newark car auctions. Although I hesitate to use the word 'chav' the atmosphere is a bit like a . . . horse fair! :D

I dindnt buy it. Somone esle did. I was still at home I phoned the auction up At 2pm

Is this one worth ago. I have the currect phone number now.
I still like my citroens Xantia would be nice. But to dear to inscure at the moment. My Laguna is 107 pound a month. Where as the bxes was 60 pound a month. Plus better on fuel i think. My laguna get 35 to 38 on a run. In town it goes down hill. 20 to 25 mpg
Its a really nice car it is theres nothing wrong with it. But the cost is a bit high at the moment. I can renew my insurence. On the 2nd of feb

Looks like a good one if the work done has been done!

Not sure if I like the tone of the ad though and the spelling and BIG letters puts me right off but that's eBay for you...

Funny but I buy and sell alot on eBay but don't like the thought of buying or selling a car on it..

Obviously Paul as Tim /\ , has spotted it already on E-Bay !

Right guy's lets do a 'Post Mortem' on this BX now
E-Bay Seller wrote: CITROEN BX19 TGD ESTATE

1.9 TURBO DIESEL 22/11/1991 J reg

1 OWNER

TAX 30/11/2011

MOT 08/11/11

NO ADVISORY ON LAST MOT

FULL SERVICE HISTORY 164000 on the clock

The service book is stamped up, it has loads and I really mean loads of invoices for work done and parts since the car was new. It has just had air a fuel filters done, Aug 11

March this year it had the head gasket done and the head skimmed, invoice here as proof that was at 161199 miles so one would assume the cam belt was also done then. There is also an invoice for the belt at 133 k.

4 good tyres

It’s got the original Phillips radio cassette, electric windows at the front, pas central locking and that is about it.

The car is in generally very very good condition throughout, but that is only my opinion, the only rust is shown in the pics drivers side rear arch, those panels are separate I think and can be replaced, but check that.

The more observant amongst you may of spotted a little crease in the driver’s front door it look like the wind could of took it or a car a park knock, it is very minor.

The car drives very well it has the legendary Citroen ride comfort, and of course those wonderful sort seats. Fuel consumption is at least 45mpg probably more but I really don’t know. The Suspension works as it should on all settings.

If you have read this far you are obviously into these wonderful old cars.

There fore you will realise its worth and it is not just a cheap old estate, it is a car with character and charm. So I am starting it a what I know to be a realistic price, do not please insult me with offers of less than the start price, I am not in a hurry to sell, even though it is only November Mot, I will just

1 re-mot it and use it as another one of my daily classic drives, as it will 3 times the mpg that does,

2 put it in the Garage and wait a few years and it will be worth 3 times what it is now.

You are most welcome to come and see the car, read the paper work part with some money, above the start price, and be the proud 2nd owner of this lovely old car.

Viewing is recommended before the auction ends just call or text 07860 813851 for an appointment. I will sell the car on a viewing so you may want to bring some cash.

PLEASE NOTE IT IS BEST TO VIEW BEFORE YOU BUY THAT WAY YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING, MY DESCRIPTION/OPINION MAY BE DIFFERENT FROM YOURS.

All cars are sold on a strictly trade sale, sold as seen basis, no warranty, no refunds or returns implied or given.
a)"so one would assume the cam belt was also done then." - IMHO no one should assume anything with out full proof (i.e. documentation/photo's) :!:

b) "the only rust is shown in the pics drivers side rear arch, those panels are separate I think and can be replaced, but check that. - Obviously assuming again, as they can't be bothered to check/find out for them selves that the rear estate panels are like 'hens teeth' to obtain

c) "I am not in a hurry to sell, even though it is only November Mot" - Indeed in 'no hurry', bought from the auctions (Probably for scrap value) Yesterday and on E-Bay the next day and there hoping to make a 'quick buck' without the bother/expense of a new MOT

d) "put it in the Garage and wait a few years and it will be worth 3 times what it is now." - A bit of an optimist IMHO, no one can predict that, just like nobody can really predict how long this current recession is going to last scratch...

Also note the seller likes his BOL'S and even has one for a BX, it may have even come with the one there selling to further line their pocket

Paul, maybe this one was even worth leaving a bid over the phone (Scrap value) and you could have picked up today ?

Give the seller some credit, he's obviously not driven it far as he claims it's a turbo diesel. :?

I once bought a Saab 9000 at an auction, and the fees took the price from £150 to £300. Still a bargain, but it stung a little.

Good on him for putting it on ebay. It's not like anyone on here's actually going to buy it, but at least he didn't just weigh it in...
