if it's a TZD, early face lift or not, how come the interior is grey?
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

I think it looks so shiny because he's oversharpened the pics in photoshop (which is why the straight lines look a bit whizzy) It does look very nice though. Black's not really my favourite colour but with that grey interior and the plastic windows it looks very smart. Easily worth a grand IMO - perhaps a bit more?

All non turbo TZD models had the same interiors as a TRS/TZS.

I asked him how much. Hes loooking for it. He said what it has been put up for. Then i said its auction so ill have to bid.
He wanted around about 1500 for it

lol
Why don't these people check out this club before they advertise and have crazy expectations, especially in the present economic climate. Anyone with that sort of money looking for a "classic car" is not going to spend it on a BX IMO

whare is the maket outside of this club that wants to buy a BX ?

I don't understand these spec levels, how come my txd which i thought was lower spec than a tzd, has the better quality interior?

The turbo models regardless of txd or tzd have the exact same style interiors although with different colours/designs on the fabric, so why are the n/a diesels different?

Could you retrofit a turbo?

And a decent interior?

I might, just, get away with putting a bid on....

Too much effort to add a turbo, cheaper & easier to fit Nitrous. I've seriously been thinking about this for a while now. I miss the extra performance of my TZD Turbo, but the engine bay is horrible compared to a n/a with all the added complexity for only 19bhp more.

So, reliability of a n/a but with nitrous more than the performance of the TZD Turbo's but only when you actually need it. So you can plod along with 71 bhp & then for overtaking have your 50bhp jet working to give you 121bhp which is 8v Gti power :D Now that sounds like fun, i wonder how long a tank of nos lasts??

You can replace interiors relatively easily, my gti had the wrong interior fitted so it got replaced.

How does nitrous work then? Sounds interesting.

Not if you wantd the engine to last as the turbo units are beefed up for the extra grunt, you would be better off swopping the engine from a BX/XantiaTD, or easier just to buy a TZD Turbo.

Below is a kit, it contains a bit of info on how it works, if you do a google search there's quite a bit about them. I did make some enquiries as to how much extra power the 1.9 xud n/a could take & i was told 100bhp. Now whether that is correct or not i couldn't tell you. I wouldn't be surprised though, as you would only be using it for short periods when required rather than always on. I'd be wary of the clutch wearing out along with driveshafts that have to transmit that extra power. The jets appear to come in standard form of 25bhp increments, so you could have a much lower power set-up.

Hmm I would be very wary of doing that to a 20 year old 100+ miles diesel engine of mine. I can imagine something going BANG!

If its not fast enough, buy a TD or just allow longer to get there, any BX will do 70mph!
