Though so, bit like an Escort/Orion, ones an hatch (R11) and ones a saloon (R9), I must admit I would like a TXE version!

So do I. The quad-lamp 9 and 11 are pretty little things IMHO. My dad had a 9 when I was a nipper, but I went one better when I was grown up and had a brief fling with a 21 Monaco. Sadly, it just wasn't as good as my BX and I didn't see the point in having two French family cars. So I swapped it (with some cash) for a CX Familiale. Oops.

I like it too (so that makes 3 at least) but I have never owned a Renault and wonder about the rust (Citroen post PUG seem to have stopped the rust)

Wouldn't say my 21 was any worse than my BX in terms of rust. In fact, it was probably rather better...

An Espace has to be the ultimate though. Plastic body, galvo chassis. And they look fabulous.

I like the 11 but not as much as the 16,

Espace are ok rust wise but are cursed with shite electrics that cost a fortune to put right

That Renault 9 (11?) looks lovely. Infact there seem to be quite a few 70's/80's cars that are starting to look really interesting. I've always had a soft spot for these . . .

Yes, very nice indeed! Fancy a late GT Mk11 version for practically nothing? I know of a nice looking one that needs a head gasket and a clutch and putting back on the road after a lay-off. Going for scrap if not sold soon, which would be a real shame. I'd rescue it myself but I would be killed on the spot if I even mentioned it – haven't picked up the recently acquired Land Rover yet, and accidentally bought a 1972 2CV van the other day....

The grille and lights look fine, on a Renault 9.

On a BX? It looks cack! I'd expect to see one looking like that in India, but Europe?
