Yes Andy, you're absolutely right, but the only time you really need power steering is when heaving like a weightlifter to get full lock when parallel parking. I haven't yet summoned the courage to attempt the 30mph manouevre into a 15-foot gap, so I tend to look for parking slots that are easier to drive into with less extreme steering wheel movements.

The same could be said about navigation. A few years ago, most people either learned their routes or read a map. These days, no-one can get to the supermarket without using a Sat Nav. #-o

If I were in the market for another BX, I'd be tempted by this one. I like the dark grey and with a bit of TLC she could be a nice car. A realistic starting bid does generate interest and ultimately, if you want to sell a car promptly, you must let the market set the price. We have all seen cars listed and re-listed across several months simply because the starting bid is too high. Each listing costs £30-odd which will tot up across several listings, so why bother?

I agree. I've got no power steering and no satnav (apart from the fact that my left arm aches all the time and I'm always getting lost); look at this face. Is it bovvered? (that would be 'no').

I always view navigational errors as a bit of an adventure which is part of the rich tapestry of life. If the adventure is disappointing, unpleasant or dangerous, it's life's way of reminding you not to make that particular mistake again. It's also essential feedback to reinforce the fact you are part of a real world, rather than the virtual one. I'd be tempted to say the same argument could be applied to non-PAS cars, but that would be dangerously Luddite.

Indeed im the winning bidder (hopefully sales goes ahead) this time last year I was looking to buy a Renault 11 turbo when the white valver caught my eye, now it seems im bloody hooked. Looking forward to see how the diesel rides drives etc, this is my first ever diesel (its going to be really slow). But this will be my daily driver to give the valver a break as done over 10k since august, plus the mrs has nicked the clio.

Oh and still looking for a 11 turbo, if anyone knows one anywhere ?

Update your ebay listing with this information and put a 'buy it now' price £150 or £200? nothing to loose. If it had been up North I would have saved it.
