Well it looks a bloody good bargain to me even if it had HG issues, looks very clean and unmolested.

I'd rather have this than that low mileage 19TRS Auto that everyone seems to be praising & saying its worth upto £1500. This is the sort of car that would be worth spending a few quid on to get sorted, at least it would be a car that you could run everyday if you wanted without taking out a mortgage with esso. Just my humble opinion of course....

If practicality is top of your list Matt I think you're absolutely right - that is a good usable car and if you're handy with a spanner and can either repair the gasket or drop another engine in makes far more practical sense than the TRS; I mean what more do you want for 200 quid?!. I don't think that TRS will be bought for 'practical' but to fettle, polish and generally 'tart' for shows. In which case someone will pay top dollar for it.

I see no reason why this car couldnt be bought for the exact same reason as you've eluded to the TRS ownership. This one will work out cheaper to own & therefore probably more desirable in the long run It would be unfortunate if you shelled out a load of money on the TRS only for the blasted HG to go shortly after ownership, you'd then wished you'd never bothered At least with this one you know there is a major issue & once sorted it won't come back again for a long time.

You could spend 3/400 on this and have a very nice BX for £600.

It's worth about £140 on the weighbridge, so if there's any tax and owt else on it, price is dead right, so long as the buyer is made aware of it's issues.

OH please someone on here buy it and sort the headgasket, I do feel sorry for the poor old girl, I would take it if I had the space as asides the dent and HG issue (if it is gone) then its a tidy old bus.

It has been known for BX diesels with leaking headgaskets to carry on for a few years mind!

Well it Looks like 'richardd1652' bought this, as the one he's currently selling ticks all the box's as being the same one albeit he's masked out the reg. number (I wonder why ) as the Mileage , Mot/Tax Expiry, Description (Bullet Points) New Exhaust, New Rear Spheres, Cam-Belt Changed is not going to mask its identity and its other unique features !

112,000 miles, tax til end of august, mot til 27th of june

Classic status, so cheap insurance, i pay only £150 for the year fully comp

Just had a FULL brand new exhaust this week. Starts on the button every morning, drives great, suspension rises as it should.

Towbar with twin electrics

The previous owner had two new rear spheres and an accumulator fitted within the last year, also a complete fluid change, new stop solenoid fitted and always serviced with Total 10-40 s/synth oil. Owner before that was a Christian Missionary worker who had the car for 9 years (she had the pipes done as well), clutch is fine, gearchange very smooth, engine still has a lot of life left in it, has only done 112000 miles from new. Bodywork very good for age, except scuffs doen one side. cambelt changed at 99k.

Bad bits, Rear electric windows dont work very well, Sunroof not working, has a slight scrape on n/s rear panel. The low water level light comes on and off even though the water level is fine, its been like this for the previous 2 owners too, the owner before me took the radiator off and flushed it through, but it made no difference, maybe a faulty sensor?

remember its a 22 year old citroen so it aint perfect!

Getting rare and sought after
