Clutch bite maybe a quick adjustment, the overheating would be a worry as they are known for HG faults.

yes tim agreed the clutch may need adjustment, but i would still expect it to be quite worn original clutch @ 114k, but thats not an issue, the car was only running (tho a bit unsettled and lumpy idle) for a few minutes and the temp gauge was up at 80 deg?? tho a fully recon head has just been fitted,gasket,belt and pump etc by a citroen specialist so i would expect everything to be ok there, i suspect a blocked rad or sticking t'stat? there was no obvious smoke from the exhaust. seems a genuine enough seller knows about bx's and drives a very tidy low miles bx16txd and a 56 traction avant tho i dont think he visits this forum. dont get many bx's come up this locally so would be a shame to miss out.

not owned a petrol bx for many years the last being my mk1 16rs estate in 96, i dont think there is anything on the gti that i cant handle.

thanx TB bx no3 for me and the first petrol in 18 yrs, should make a very tidy car once finished, we dont get many tidy examples come up this locally so seemed a shame not to.
