Its a pastel colour. It suited the styling of those sorts of cars, especially with two tone. Being a 50's car person I prefer the pastel pallet to the bold and primary colours, which often do not suit the styling of those older cars. Who would think pink would work on most cars. My Panhard looked fantastic in it. Like a ready to eat crab. Tourquoise, a dangerous colour, used well is stunning.
Yet some manufacturers never really got the colour thing and seemed to consistently get it wrong. Fast sports cars need to be seen and thus tend to be primary colours. GT6 in plum? Its all a bit hair dresser isn't it?

I'd love a GT6, though I doubt I could put up with the cramped driving position for long. Drove one with a rear seat in it once. I barely fitted behind the wheel! I doubt even a child could have fitted on the rear seat, which makes you wonder what the point of it was.

I used to complain about riding in the back of our Lancia Fulvia when I was 4! According to my Dad it still exists in the bottom of someone's garden in Leeds. Can't be much left of it now...
