gracefully volunteered there Billy, might take you up on the offer!

yeah the mystical zero rated bidder (mmbjnk) is not only from the same area, but only seems to be bidding up items from the same auctioneer. Hmmm me thinks i smell a rat already! All i need to do is but a really high bid in, let the mystery bidder bid it up then remove my bid and thus the bugger will never sell! Not gonna bother bidding any more, the seller has broken off contact and is no longer reply to emails and theres something fishy going on, he certainly doesnt mention in the advert that hes had another 16v engine stored in the boot for 5 years and that it actually got laid up about the time the bottom end bearings went on the original engine!

Will just have to see what happens now!

Just had a look at his other items for sale and he seems to have the original engine, which has had bottom end problems.Strangely,it has a higher bid than the complete car

Vanny,I'm applying a bit of twisted logic here,so hows about this for a theory?Seller has problems with engine.Buys one to replace it.Can't be bothered swopping engines so sells car with duff engine. Also sells replacement(good?) engine.Mate buys good engine with a view to selling it to sucker who bought car.Is this possible?Am I too twisted/untrusting.Answers on a postcard please :D

Yup, engine out, in a pug then scrap the shell, or sell it on ebay a month later with no engine as per usual!

i would of course much rather i got it for next to nothing and used it as a racer, but i guess money is a little more important to non bx drivers, lets face it if money was important i doubt we'd be running these clever cars and probably go and buy something characterless like a Ford :D
