I can now report that the CX got back without a hitch (as if I ever questioned the fact...). It turns out it was the heater fan that had stopped working, not the rad fan!!
Seriously nice to drive, v smooth and quiet and bags of power. Spheres are hard at the front and solid at the back, although you wouldn't know driving it... A bit creaky at the rear too so rear arm bearings might need attention... An MOT test will reveal what it's like underneath, but the rest of the bodywork is in good condition. Even the bootlid seems to have only a few bubbles!
Clutch is good, so that's a real boon!
Will take pics when I get a chance!! I want to see what colour it actually is in daylight!!
