Buy it now disappears when reserve price is met. If no reserve then b-i-n disappears as soon as first bid has been placed.

Lets see, if anyone on the forum is desperate for it please come forward as theres no point bidding against each other. It will get a good home with me and I fancy a "poverty spec" one as I have a 16v with A/C so will be the opposite end of the spectrum! :D

Thats savable. Its worth a bit more effort and time than your average BX cos its rare. A mk2 Leader is a rare car.....a Mk1 Leader is an uber rare car!!

If you mean the engine that shares its oil with the gearbox, I think it must be. I think thats a pushrod engine. It looks extremely accessable in the massive BX engine bay at least :)

Not wanting to urinate on anyone's fireworks but I don't think that's the same engine as a 205 XS. A 205 Xs (TU3) engine looks like this doesn't it...?

Whereas the engine on that Leader looks like this...

I'd be interested if anyone can clear this up, because I want a sleeper BX14! AXGT manifold and carb etc...

By the way "16vtimmy" - so that's who you are! I was going to bid on those 16" Xantia-fit alloys too...

Yep. The TU engine is a beauty by all accounts.

Can anyone give a definitive answer on this one?

Yep, the Leader lump in your piccy is a suitcase engine, awful bl**dy thing, although you'd be VERY hard pressed to break a cam belt, cos it dont got one!

Cheers

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Is it because the gearbox is in the sump, sort of like being in a suitcase? So they share the oil........

So don't run out! :o
