Probably the person bidding is someone who knows how much a BX is worth in France, so they're going to buy it here, take it back to france and sell it.

Did consider doing so myself, but I think that would be a right can of worms.

Non PC it may be, but it's true.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

David, thats the best thing to do with it.
Either that or do what the majority of these bidders are probably going to do and thats to run it in and out of the Congestion Zone every day (£8 a day soon adds up) speed everywhere as the cameras are useless and park it all over the place knowing they won't get a ticket.

Maybe he means the heater blower is working :) .

Don't touch this one with a bargepole, unless you want it for spares. That car has been sold by a French owner in due form : the "Carte grise" (car's papers) has the top corner cut off. The French police will have been informed of the sale and of the new owner's identity. Who knows whether that will correspond to the current seller's identity ?

It should have been re-registered in France by the buyer within a month, IIRC. In other words, it should not be on the road, and can't be normally insured. IMO there would be hellish problems getting it licensed in GB.

Thought I'd ask him why he reckons the aircon works anyway. I'll be interested to get an answer but at £360 so far for a very dodgy BX, I doubt if I'll be bidding!

His reply was "I meant there is a fan that blows cold air. I didn't mean to say it had air conditioning. Sorry if that is misleading"

Wow, a fan that blows cold air! Must be worth quadruple the current price then? Or maybe not.

It was clearly intended to be misleading.
Thats like saying, "it has wheels, and they're round."
or "it has doors that open to make getting in and out easier"..
or "this is the limited edition with the steering wheel, it makes going round corners so much easier than the lesser models that didn't have steering wheels"...

Dear god, some people eh.......

Well.........yes..........it blows cold air when you don't want it in the middle of winter but what does he think it blows when you need it with an outside temperature of 24+ degrees? What a wide boy!

As oppose to the quartic wheeled All-agros which had a sort of square steering wheel and didn't go round corners then?
