OK, ever since I quit smoking I've been permanently convinced that I've forgotten something, and now work on the assumption that what I've forgotten is cigarettes and as I don't need those any more, I have stopped worrying about that feeling that I've forgotten something and therefore frequently end up actually forgetting something that I should not have forgotten.

For anyone whose head didn't explode reading that: if I have rashly promised anyone anything that isn't on the below list, please remind me, or forever hold your peace:

- Hydrorincauge (brilliant word, so much more fun than Hydraflush which sounds more ... bathroom-y) for Ian and wheels for Tim from Rob M
- collect parcel shelf for Ian from Mickey
- laminate remaining brochure copies (estate and 16v), and bring spare set of the whole lot, in case the first set goes walkies too early on in the weekend (some people will nick *anything* - to be fair, laminates do make fairly good coasters, as long as you're not too fond of the surface beneath)
- original estate brochures to be returned to Eoin (with thanks for the loan)
- make flapjack if time so we don't all go bankrupt feeding ourselves from NEC merchants

I can't fix cars or make 'em look pretty so courier and cookery services it is ;P

I will have a spare set of presentable BX seats which could be used to sit on for the duration of the show, anyone think how we can mount them, probably just the front I imagine?

Also there was discussion of propping a car up to keep it in "high" to demonstrate the different suspension setting, axle stands?

Sandre, aren't you forgetting something?

Tim, i've got a seat screwed down to an old steel computer monitor about 18" high which is a good comfortable height for a desk. I'm not suggesting you go out and find a Microvitec CUB server monitor from the mid 80's but a simple box made from 2x4" dry kiln timber would do the job nicely. Maybe a bit of carpet to finish it off? If you don't mind them being low, then just put them on the floor with the runners extended backwards so it doesn't fall over.

To keep the back end up (for show) i normally stick in some finely fettled blocks of wood between the trailing arm and the bump stops. Perhaps stacked railway sleeps might be more stable under the front subframe than axle stands?

I think blocks of wood are the way to go for car support. Mike may have some as I think he uses them as axle stands (as does Mat).

I wouldn't stress about seats. Having a couple sitting around might be fun and I think Mike's hoping to put a couple of frames but the cars are the main thing. I'm trying to visualise how we'll have them laid out in my head but haven't got too far other than the two Romantic Blue cars being in a reverse chevron (Mk1 estate and DTR are going to look superb next to each other!)

I'm off work next week, so will be making bases for seats, as well as spending a couple of days cleaning Timex inside and out (also known as turd polishing  ) and fixing the passenger window so it closes as well as opens!

As well as the car and seat bases I'll be bringing 2 sets of display boards. I can also bring ramps, and can possibly borrow a couple of blocks from my mate John.

Can people please bring camping chairs (or whatever you want to sit on) as well please. I'll bring mine but I'll be taking them with me when I head back on the Saturday.

Regarding the mounted bx seats is it worth bringing a non sports type to show the differences?
