just been for a look at this and was pretty impressed apart from.

the roof laquer is poor and paint very faded in places two patches about a foot long ,
Front bumper has grazes on both sides,
Rear bumper faded on offside corner.
Has mismatched rear lights and a short non standard aerial.
Incorrect wheel trims.
Origional rear number plate but non origional front was origionally sold from aerdrome motors in Hendon north London.

There is also a hole in the dashboard above the glove box,
It is on the guys forecourt.
Windscreen ticket says £790..
Door shuts, hinge panels and arches are all fine, very small dink on front wing by wheel arch otherwise body look really good..
didnt get to see under the bonnet or start the car though.

Doesnt sound too bad, that paint fade can be inproved I expect and made to look better. Rear lights are an easy find and the aerial is still available new from Citroen. As the bumpers are the later painted type they will be easy to get "smart repaired".

is it a case of using coloured polish on the roof to bring it back Tim ?
oh by the way the interior looked perfect apart from the cracked binnacle glass and aforementioned hole

Would make a nice BX for someone. Cosmetics can be dealt with. Any lean on the rear wheels Mick?

didnt notice any lean Phil but I think its easier to see that if the cars on high.
It was wierd, its a fenced off yard , gates were open, car was unlocked, had a good wander round but couldent find anyone so opened the doors to check hinge panels etc but as noone was there I couldent get the keys to start it

the car is prominently parked at the front of the yard facing the road in a line up with a merc a daihatsu and some other cars .
If he didnt want it on the forecourt he could have parked it round the side.
The price tag was in the passenger side front footwell so dont know if someone had taken it out for a test drive and they hadent put it back on the mirror

yeah a very good price really, twice what I paid for mine but this one has half the mileage,

I was tempted but the thought of divorce proceedings just tipped the scales against going for it
