It was revving up when warm, and only wanted to start when cold even then was difficult and when under 3000 rpm would jolt and sounded like it was on 3 cylinders, it was just as though far too much fuel was going in the cylinders and just bogged down. So when it wouldn't start when warm I checked for fuel and spark, all there, so unplugged the sensor and it started so changed the sensor and ran great all the way home about 200 mile
Regards, Leo.

I had no idea the sensor could alter the map that much! Good work.

It'll take more than bodywork Tim. You could make it shiny, it'd still be a piece of crapTim Leech wrote:well done Leo. now to decide what to do next! white panels are plentiful enough,

'Tis. I'd love to see it fully stripped and rebuilt, but it's a lot of work and arguably not worth it. Unless it has a full and through strip down & rebuild, I know it's still not a good car. The subframes all need taking down to clean and rust-protect the shell, as does the fuel tank. The rear panel's got some issues, the rear quarters are on their way out around the dog leg, and most panels have a dent. Alex never used it much, so it didn't grow any of that under his tenure.Tim Leech wrote:Thats a shame as it is a BXC legend!
When Leo gets a proper drive in it, he'll see what I mean. It's like everything is there, but nothing is linked together. You certainly don't have any urgency to drive it like you're supposed to drive a 16v. I've driven loads of 16vs over the years, and it saddens me to say that is by far the worst.*
* Matt H reckoned G-SEG was worse, but I only drove that around the industrial estate once, and it didn't seem it to me, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as he spent more time in both than I did
