Good work Kitch,
I remember looking at these in Autotrader and E&M way back in something like 1991ish, back then you could pick one up for around £2600 IIRC - 16V's were a dream then :-)

Hope it works out well for you anyway - is this the car that is replacing your Activa then?

No I replaced the Activa with a Xantia TD....just to smoke around in.

This is a little project I've taken on. I doubt it will replace the 16v, I'm thinking of giving it some good TLC and perhaps trying to find it a home at the National CCC rally. And enjoying it in the process!

A nice buy, Kitch - particularly with that CX-ish chevron trim. I'll keep my eye out for it if in Southampton.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

A very nice purchase Kitch! Its identical to mine apart from the colour. Does it have the infamous BX GT "computer" for fuel readings etc? Mine does not as most of the 86 ones didnt apparently; there's just a little clock down there instead. Ive got a What Car review of the car from when it was launched and the closest rival in terms of performance and obscurity was the Mazda 626 2.0 litre they reckoned. Ill scan it in and send it to you if your interested. You did a fair bit better than me on price I have to say; I paid £20 more for mine and had to change the engine! Good luck with yours.

Thanks matey.

It doesn't have the computer, only the clock. But its actually an 85 car.

The body is fairly tired I would say, but mechanically she's very good.

I too have some reviews of the car, we'll have to get them copied into a section on this site?
