Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

:D  So far ive wax oyled 3 bx,s my 16v,gti,and dads green 16v. No offence aimed here but i wanted them done right. I could have taken them to a garage and had them done but i dont know what kind of job i would have got??. The way i do it it to get some engine degreaser and clean the whole underside of the car off by hand (a lot of elbow grease) but worth it then leave it a couple of days to dry. Then the car will be inspected for any rust and treated if found. Then i bought a big can of black smooth hammerite and painted it on by hand (2 coats worth) once the hammerite smooth is dry i then put 3 coats of car underbody seal on (with added wax oyl tar like stuff) all by hand once thats dry i used the spray on hammerite black wax oyl can to completely coat the hidden areas and hard to reach points you cant get a paint brush to. Finaly i used the hammerite clear wax oyl spray can to completely coat the fuel pipes, and suspension pipes and unions. On my red 16v i went a little futher by stripping, cleaning and painting the anti roll bar, fuel pump heat sheild, spare tyre rack, rear arms, the plates that sit behind the rear wheels, the plate attached to the bumper on ph2 16s, the front lower arms and other bits and bobs. Also i removed the front and rear bumpers front grill and head lights and done all round those areas you can not see normaly. The rear wheel arches have been done and the splash gaurds on the fron arches removed and front wheel arches undersealed. The front wings have been removed and inner wings undersealed and all chassis rails, sills etc have had the rubber/metal bungs removed and injected with the spray on wax oyl in a tin. Costs for all that would be around £40-50 in materials eg paint brushes, sprayer adaptor, an obviously the waxoyl itself. Labour wise i dont know what it would cost but i took a week on the car to do the job to my satisfaction. Now the car is inspected every 3 years and under seal re-applyed where needed.

There are 2 pics of the finished result on my red 16v. Many mot testers get a shock at mot time cause of all the colours under there one tester even said he needed his sunglasses ha ha !.
