Right then, all is now (hopefully!) sorted out. Haven't fetched the car yet, but with new plug leads, ignition amplifier & coil, she seems to be running nicely again. Up until yesterday she wasn't running but they changed the coil today & the world is a better place.
Fingers crossed now for my 1000+ miles in the next ten days...
