Oh, one other good thing that seems to have come out of this trip is hitting a pothole and hearing a small noise from behind the speedo, and subsequently noticing that it has cured the needle wobble almost completely. Weird.

We are already planning on going back in the summer...

Sound as though the cable inner and outer might have been snagging slightly somewhere and the jolt somehow freed it - must go and squirt some oil down my speedo cable see if that fixes it.

The car does look very good :-)

Yeah, it seems that way. I'm always a little wary of things fixing themselves, but at the moment, nothing else weird happening.

Cheers too, I'm pretty happy with the car, it needs some cosmetic stuff (not just the windscreen) sorting out, the bootlid paint is a bit shot, and the paint round the windows needs redoing, but other than that, it's all good.

So, that stone chip got a hell of a lot bigger very quickly last night. So, replacement on its way through the insurance, £70 excess to pay. Unfortunately they don't keep the glass in stock (doesn't everyone have a BX?!), so it'll be tomorrow. Oh well.
