I've always found it to be a disappointing day!

The 12th of July is always a better bet....
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Makes me think - what dates work for you? I always get on with 30th June. Whereas 14th January always bad... Oh Sh*t - that's tomorrow!

Anyway, this is well O/T, so maybe something to take up elsewhere! (Interesting subject - good dates vs. bad dates) :D

Just had mine (12th) and normally its another cark day, but this year it was lovely. spent time with the kids, had a little down time with the wife kid free for a few hours and then Bob the builder announced that he is starting work on our new bathroom (which has been sitting in my parents garage since August waiting) today. Brilliant it was.

I don't suppose this 16v has a good lock set does it? Having just sheared off my doors/fuel flap key in the driver's door lock, I could do with a set. Doesn't need to include the ignition barrel, as that's currently on a different (the larger type) key.

I'm pretty sure they're all good David, although it's only got one key at the mo.

Better than the 0.25 key I currently have!

If someone else wants the set as a matching doors/ignition set, then I would be happy with their "just doors" locks and key. For the moment I can just about lock my car with the stub I have left, and a screwdriver works quite well in the fuel cap.

Well if you want the setup David its yours mate, I can't see anyone else going after it.

It's all gotta go soon. It's taking longer to strip it than I'd hoped :(

Did you manage to get a look at the 2 nearside doors? I'm still interested in these if they're totally dent free.

Headlights any good?

Just so you know, Mk1 back doors are slightly different, but Mk2 ones will fit and with the door shut you can tell (and indeed won't notice with it open unless you're a total nerd :-)

! what is the difference? door skin profile? it's like the early and late DS - different door profile so that if you mix them you get a gap :)

Sorry, I wasn't concentrating; I meant *can't* tell...

The only difference is a curved recess over the c pillar (the bit that rots) to accomodate a similar lump on the c pillar. As a result you can't fit Mk1 back doors to a Mk2, at least without the attention of some altering...
