Paintwork is still a work in progress, much rubbing back still required, possibly another couple of coats..not sure...

but looking quite good even this early

Yes still have to replace the chevrons on the bonnet

Still trying to source a second driving light...any offers??

Image

I wont apologize for the fur lined dash...as the dash was WELL beyond sensible recuperation.

The car's interior is so welcoming, soft and cosy...

Not pure but smoked tail lights suit the black paint.. Keep in mind the car was 3 wheels in to the scrap yard and one on a banana peel

Looking forward to adding further refinements to this lovely classic

twas Metallic green, as are still all the door jambs and engine bay (just incase i get impulsive and throw some money at a repaint).

The original color currently serves as the negative space pin stripes against the black. It was so faded that it was virtually silver.

but enjoying the black at the moment....as it has a very stealth look

Air cond is ridiculously good BTW

Nice car, very nice pics. Not sure about the tail-lights but then I'm not sure why my brain is entirely happy about the very non-factory paint, yet upset about the lights!

I like the smoked rear lights

Was it that light green metallic? never seen it in the flesh, but the pics I have seen makes it looks very 80's, which I like.

I admit to not liking the beige of my GT but it kinds fits. I think they look great in red with alloys.

This is the 1st MK1.5 that i've ever seen

Damn fine save & a/c :D

Hope you manage to get to some of the shows this year, can't wait to see the car in the flesh.

All down to personal taste, yes if it was fully restored back to original then it would be nicer, however, it was a scrap car which is now saved & back on the road, so any cosmetic alterations are fine with me :D

I doubt you'll see it at a show though, unless it gets shipped up here from down very south! Can't recall if it's Aus or NZ...
