Where's the sound deadening gone on the bulkhead? Every 16 I've had has it (I think it was only the 14 that didn't).

Dear Willy.
How are you keeping Willy :) :?: I hope your car has been behaving
itself recently, after your last problem
I thought someone would notice the gearbox  I haven,t polished
that yet, I really need to buy somemore duraglit to do a good job
of the engine and the gearbox :) I don,t know whether you can still buy
it can you :?: I used to use it alot to polish the outside of the mild steel
exhaust tailpipe and the inside of the tailpipe too, before I put a s/s
exhaust on. :!:
I am having a s/s cat-back exhaust system, probably this month,
with a slashed inward rolled edged tailpipe, which should look really
nice :)
Anyway I must Zip Willy, It is good to talk to you again
All The Best.
Vince.

Dear Tom.
Thank-you so very very much too Tom, I am cheating though, I
have been doing it for 35 years, there were quite alot of tar spots on
her, especially below the waist mouldings, but they are all gone now.
Thanks again Tom and take care,
All The Best.
Vince.

Those Tar spots are a right bugger to get off aren't they? I remember last summer driving along a new road and had loads of them on the lower front doors. Took me ages to remove, got my credit card out eventually (doesn't happen very often!!).

bx petrol auto saloon wrote:I may be wrong, but I thought that that control needs to be on cold, for the air-con to work :?: Like there is a micro-switch on the heater control not allowing the air-con to work
On the A/C cars I've seen, there is a microswitch on the heater dial which is closed in the fully cold position but what this does is enable the full speed relay (i.e. bypassing the blower transistor) ONLY when cold air is selected. This is only a sample of 3 cars, and isn't marked on the wiring diagram for the A/C circuit so there may well be variations on it.
Certainly I use my A/C when the heater on as it demists the windows a lot quicker. Recently I've bypassed the microswitch too, so I can have full blower speed regardless of temperature.

The car is looking very tidy Vince, are you sure they're not old photos from the early 90s?

There are different ways to read that, and I reckon you meant it in the way that someone like me would read it. And if that was the case, then NO we really don't want that!!

Dear Kevan.
Sorry for my late reply Kevan
Yes over the years I have had lots of offers Kevan, mostly from
people with metallic paint, because people don,t know that you can T-
cut metallic paint  but because I do every car by hand, you can
do a much better job, than with a machine, which can be a bit brutal
on metallic paintwork.
What colours are your cars then Kevan :?:
And as for Tim,s crown :D :D :D But as we all know Tim is Tim :)
and we love him the way he is  A man after my on heart :)
Anyway must dash Kevan, tea time
All The Best.
Vince.

Dear Tom.
That is a very very good way of getting tar spots off aswell Tom :)
I put lots of polish on the patch where the tar is, to make the paint-
work wet enough to be able to use my very very strong, long finger-
nails, to the same effect. without scratching the paintwork  Over
the years I seem to have gotten really quick at doing that these days
Tom
What BX is it you are picking up soon then Tom :?:
All The Best Tom
Vince.
