The estate belongs to my friend Denise who lives in Essex, it belonged to her late husband and is now hers. She loves it and I am hoping that she will be able to join us at some future events. The car is very much a workhorse but well loved by Denise and her boys. It used to camp.alongside my Meteor and appears to be still going strong.

Very chuffed with myself today. Replacement sunroof switch arrived courtesy of Mickey Taker and on his advice I swapped them over myself. Really easy to do and to my absolute amazement my sunroof now works! I am gobsmacked, I was sure it was going to need surgery to get it working! It may seem a small step but it's my first proper bit of "car work" and I am really chuffed. :D

Thanks Mick!

Don't believe it, sunroof fixed and a wheel trim come off again, same one as last time (NSF) and it was well tied on with cable ties. I really don't understand how.it.happened. I will be driving home in the dark too so no chance of finding it. In fact it may have come off yesterday afternoon. Not happy anymore.

Nice one on the sunroof switch, but what a pain about the wheeltrim - sorry to hear that.

Final big job on the list (rear arm bearing) done yesterday and not before time apparently. When removed it was described as "an interesting shape". That may explain the strange noises coming from the rear (the car's rear, not mine).

Off to North Wales (Lleyn Peninsula) today with 3 adult passengers and assorted luggage for a weekend of pampering, relaxing, eating, drinking and other stuff that we women enjoy. Carrot cake just out of the oven smells amazing and the rum icing tastes pretty good too. Looking forward to seeing the sea, we don't get much opportunities for that here in Staffordshire! Don't care how cold it is I WILL be paddling!
