I think that might be 'Venetian Red' Tom? 'Delage Red' looks alot darker.

I'm taking it over to Rob at Chevronics, who posted this car for sale on their Facebook page.Caffiend wrote:Where are you getting it done?
As for the colour, I couldn't find any markings on the inside of the wings or anything, just need to wait for this rain to stop so I can have ago at it with some t-cut and see what can be done about the finish, someone has attacked the bonnet with a touch up pen to cover up stone chips which doesn't look great though.

Thought it might be, given your location - I just picked mine up on Friday after having its welding done, they did a lovely job of it.

Venetian red or rouge furio as they call it in france is the more common bright red.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Deans, 'Delage Red' TZD (taken from THIS thread for ref.):-MULLEY wrote:Thats the spitting image of Dean's TZD Turbo minus the alloy's that he had. V-rare colour, well done & look forward to reading your blog.
Also photo from the the WETHERBY 2009 meeting thread :-
Tom it's NOT 'Delage Red' (as already pointed by Paul), also the one /\ (which was one of Richard's) IIRC he used some 'Ford paint colour' from a rattle-can to spray up the front bumper !saintjamesy89 wrote:IIRC it isn't delage red, quite similar but more auberginey.
This is delage red;
Here's another members BX which according to MK2 'paint chip' paint selection also looks like its a 'Delage Red' too :-
Albeit the owner states it another colour 'Morello Red'Roverman wrote:
The /\ two (photo's/quotes) were take from THIS thread (for ref.), so there you have it !Neil1 wrote:The white one is my 1988 16RE, which I bought in 1998, and the other is a 1992 TGD in Morello Red, which I was given a decade later! Both lovely cars to drive.
The only others BX's which I can remember which had the 'Delage Red' paintwork, which IMHO is a very nice colour when nicely polished up

That's that sorted out then . . . its brown!
Assuming that SM is in an original factory colour, that would be AC 424 ‘Rouge de Rio or AC426 ‘Rouge de Grenade’;

According to a Thatcham Methods Manual, Morello Red (EKV) was the last non metallic red they came in but Morello Red = Rouge Opera according it this site:

Hmm I see can't argue with a brochure! I was just going on what was posted in the thread where Richard first displayed the 14. What colour was my little 14 then? Didn't look like venetian red, and I wouldn't describe it as red - more burgundy. Would be great to know, as I loved the colour!
Anyway, TZD looks bloomin lovely! (whats your name dude?)

Re: My '93 TZD Turbo (pic heavy)
My 14TGE was |Delage Red, but one thing to bear in mind is that there are 3 different paint codes for Delage Red, an AC code, and 2 different all letter codes as normally seen on BX's.

Re: My '93 TZD Turbo (pic heavy)
Awww thanks Richard. Hmm a conundrum, your TGE was the same colour as mine (Delage red) but the same colour number as Andrew's but different in appearance to said colour
Looks like that Rio red in your post Paul. Was that a colour available on a BX?
