The annual Grand Display of French Cars was on in Brisbane today, beautiful weather for it.

Around 117 cars this year, 38 Citroens, 42 Peugeots, 35 Renaults, One Simca, and One amilcar.
Only 3 BX's there though; my 19TZi and 16Valve, and another white 16Valve that was for sale for $3500 AUD.

Here are a few pictures from the day

Some VERY lovely Gallic automotive hardware there 8) It doesn't look like Australia though; I thought everyone wore big hats with corks hanging off them? :D

Wow! Some beautiful cars there. I love the " ute " versions in particular. What is the Citroen model next to the red and White DS3? I'm thinking possibly the Citroen version of the Mitsubishi ASX.
So lovely, sunny weather, T shirts and shorts and it's the middle of the Australian winter!! Can I still go over as a £10 pom!! :)

Is that the Rod Taylor or the Guy Pierce time machine? Quite like the earlier film. Complete with red gloop as lava and the veritable iguana as a dinosaur!

Rod Taylor of course!

It's a liittle known fact that Morlocks were all descended from Sir Jimmy Savile (RIP). Anyway, back on topic; H.G. Wells had a pen friend in Australia (probably) :D

Very nice line up - love the 'shed of the show' DS, guessing it's either up for restoration or someone's daily?

This

would be perfect for a bit of spotlighting ...

Thanks Tim, I had just put them on the week earlier, I'd also just plasticared the grey trim and the combination of the two made the care look quite refreshed.

Plenty of big hats but not a strung up cork in sight, not many flies around either thankfully!

It is indeed the Citroen C4 Aircross which is based on the ASX, lovely looking car.

The Shed ID turned up right as the judging/awards finished, it was the perfect entrance, even had a squeeky rear break that went squeek.... squeek.... squeek as it rattled past. Classic.

Hi Bobby, the ones on the black 16V? I think they're just standard dark tinted lights, I know they came from a white 89' Australian delivered 16V.

Thanks Bobby, they're the ones that the car came with standard, they should be pretty common. I have a spare set here but postage would be more than the lights themselves.

I'm guessing that they are the green tinted version? or are they the extra rare blue tinted one's? Most are the brown smoked one's as fitted to the other car next to yours. There is apparently a red tint version, never seen that one, but have seen all the rest.
