The trick is to turn the traction control system off & then you find the car can move again. But i agree, fat tyres are hopeless which is an issue as most modern cars seem to have them fitted as they look good rather than adding anything to do with the performance. Ironically the mini has 195/55/16's and goes like a bat out of hell, the neighbours 307hdi with paltry 110bhp has 205's fitted, why???? Oh, they look nice, but then are expensive & are crap in the snow, brilliant concept that.....

235 tyres, why? You'd expect a car with perhaps 300bhp to have tyres like that, which golf have you got?

I'm noticing that Cashcows are rapidly beginning to rival German brands for [expletive deleted]-ish behaviour on the motorway. Even just a few months ago, I would have said 80-ish% Audis and BMWs worst, now those have reduced slightly and t least 13.74%* of the driving idiots are see are behind the wheel of Cashcows. Sorry Mike, I'm sure you're not one of them - I can recognise exceptions, I even saw a BMW correctly give me right of way on a roundabout AND indicate to tell everyone where he was going *at the same time* the other day.

Are you sure his hand didn't slip onto the indicator stalk by mistake?

At the rate we're churning them out 50% of the cars will be qashqai I do quite like the qashqai it has no character but does do everything averagely well and nothing badly, now it has 4000 miles under it's belt the economy is good I did average 67.8 for a 110 mile journey to Jennies and back last week, not bad for a 7 seater crossover.
But at the end of the day it's not a BX or an Activa they make me smile wheres the Nissan just doesn't make me complain about it.
Wonder how life with the leaf will be am awaiting my charger install then I can get one

Well the Red Baron is back and is the daily runabout having been swapped for the Qashqai.
I have a picture of it tonight outside the Nissan Factory but can't post it on here until I get home as Photobucket is a blocked site here lest we should take pictures of Qashqai and you get to see what one looks like.
