Just thought we could 'sneak' a couple of people in. :-) It does seem quite pricey considering there's no electric hook-up. Not whinging, just an observation. Thanks for planning it Tim. :-)

I'm whinging and don't mind saying so. It's not far off what a B&B would cost: I hope the hot showers are clean and palatial and the campground cricket pitch smooth for that price!

being extremely lazy and unable to read straight (dont ask) I assume I can just rock up on the saturday and pay for a pitch at the gate, or do we have book in advance?
It's a bit far to go for a day trip!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Yes you can, the camping and rally fields are separate but I advise to book before hand

Are cars allowed in the camping field? There was a Facebook conversation that suggested we may have to park a way from the tents...

Going back to the issue of camping, if we bring 2 small tents (one for Hugh & I and one for Nathan) would we have to pay £30? I'd rather not bring a large family tent but if it's cheaper I might have to.

You could kip under the caravan!! :-) Caravans are allowed an awning in the price, so I doubt a very small tent would draw offence.

Give Wicksteed PK a ring on 01536 512475. I suppose that will give the definitive answer.

It does state one "unit" per tent, so looks that way.

No unit will be sited after 7.00pm
I' doubt that I'll be able to get there before 7 - Tim, do you know whether this rule will be relaxed for the CCC? Will there be any kind of marquee for evening entertainment/somewhere to sit and chat, or is it simply camping only?

Hi Mat

I think if you turn up and say you are with the CCC you shouldnt have an issue. There is no evening entertainment as such as theres no provision for it (there is a wedding at the function room a short distance awat there the night before if you wanted to crash the reception!), but theres plenty to do on the site itself, plus it will be light until late so people can sit out etc.

I'm sure there's a decent pub nearby. Or a large body of water!! :-)

Thanks Tim. Sitting out and chatting is good (assuming the weather is like it is now!), just that it's a nicer if we are all camping together - no need to run back to your car to get food/drink/tools etc. But I'm sure we'll be fine :)
