You could, but the BX would be much more fun! I've dyno'd 4-pot 156s before.....it's pretty eventless

Hopefully not - it's wheels off if you do it jacked up on the ground one side at a time, but i reckon if you can get underneath it will be fine.

No problem, sounds like the 4-poster is ok then. The two-poster will be an arsehole to clear if it's raining or anything, as most of the cars at the workshop aren't waterproof! That's why I need prior notice.

Excessive preparation?
Stock ecu that came with the cars harness, brand spanking new ECU and a superchip ECU!

Haha! No mate, that's the name of the game. I can overlay graphs from different runs, so you can have a printout with all three.
So far I've found the standard ones are the best, though that's only on my red 16v, and that in turn is the only 16v I've put on there that's ever got near quoted figures.
Sadly I can't plot the AFR on the graph yet as the gadget that reads it won't talk to the dyno system, but we can watch it live and note where there are any issues.

Seems that things I'm s'posed to be organising go better when I don't
This week is shaping up interesting* - depending on how a meeting goes on Friday, dunno whether I will make this or not, hope to see everyone and if it's OK Kitch, will just take pot luck as to whether there's a dyno slot free as I don't want to sign up then not be able to go and prevent someone else's car being revved. Will be good to catch up with people whatever

Oh, i wouldn't be so sure! Name that gadget, and i'll bring a logger. We can add the data onto the dyno graph later, not pretty, but it would work!

The afr reader is an Innovate unit. Handheld jobbie that does obd etc

That's the one, but I'm pretty sure we found it wouldn't talk to the dyno computer. Says it does on the gumph there though. I think another attempt is in order!
Could be that we need another lead.

So, is this the final line up then;
- Hilary BX 16V (I have a modded ECU I can bring along too, would be good to see what effect if any it has on performance...)
- Tom BX TXD Turbo (GT won't be ready by 2nd March)
- Matt H BX 16v (The white one) or Alfa?
- Mike S Timex (should be good for a laugh if nothing else - I'll be overjoyed if it makes more than 50BHP!)
- Jaba BX TD estate
- RobC 16v?
- Vanny Pink Valver
Seems like a good spread really, shame there aren't more petrols (a nice 1.4 would be good), but all in all a good range!
Personally i'll be happy with anything over 140bhp, it's always felt a tad low on power, and i'm pretty sure that one of the cylinders is down on compression.
Actually, i bet there is a compression tester down at Southways right
