Ok Matt, I imagine it wil be sprind time. Also Barry Annells of Bourne Citroen has a good selection of BX spares and a large collection of air coooled Citroens in various states of repair.

Your welcome to join us Stephen but there's only 1 mk1 and that's not a breaker.

Thank You for that Tim, it probably would not be worth my while then if it was closer I would have gone along just to learn
some more about BX's in general from people who are knowledgeable.

Tell you what Tim, me and this car have become the best of friends I could not be more pleased with it.

Good to know Stephen, I miss it.

Think I may be heading over to Alan's again very soon, the interior I lined up for the RD hasn't come off as there's parts missing.

I believe its got 300k on the clock [previous quote] and that means the engine is probably BER [beyond economic repair] and one of the possible reasons for it to be parked up. Ide love to come up and get some bits off it!! Probably going to rot into the ground unless you know that there are plans for it.

If its been declared scrap Tim then it wont be able to be put back on the road. I think we have had discussions on the forum re this before.

i would be prepared to come up and have a look if bits can be taken from it.

I would be looking for a plastic bonnet, I would of course never get rid of the original bonnet, but I would very much like to put a plastic bonnet on the car,
and on the subject of bonnets, I have a Mk 1 diesel, can anyone please tell me if a Mk 2 will fit and explained about long and short nose bonnets and which will fit a Mk 1 diesel.
