Hope there's some space for the table and axle stands. Oh, and me.

If the axle stands are for mine, I'm sorted so no need to worry. I've packed a staple gun (and an extra 1000 staples  ) so another thing not to bother with. I'm bringing a folding chair with me too; might come in handy rather than being on our feet all day.

I'm bringing some rather lovely designer stacking chairs - a man of my advanced years will be needing a good (and aesthetically pleasing) sit down. *

*That would be the chairs that are aesthetically pleasing - not me of course.

No worries Mat, maybe someone will be able to use 'em, otherwise, it's not like it was any effort to chuck them in the car*

Restaurant Sat: as only one person (ohai Mat) has commented - how about Bella Venezia?

I've made some wild assumptions based on who I know is going that day (thanks Paul) and will book a table for 12 if I can ...

*edit: actually, it was, mainly because I was trying to carry axle stands, the table, the table legs and a bag of bits down the stairs all at the same time ...

Good luck to all, and I hope you have a marvelous time this weekend. Was very enjoyable, if a little tiring last year. Apologies for not getting involved, but life has been rather busy. I'll look forward to perving at all the shiny pictures :D

I have made some blocks to fit under my car if required , it should sit about normal ride height .
For good measure i have covered them in black tape so they won't look so obvious under the car.
Hope the weather stays good for the journey up so our cars stay reasonably clean, As i am getting fed up of cleaning the thing.
See you all tomorrow .

Chair! Good idea

Sandre - I might be in on the social thing, but I'm more of a simple pizza type guy. Can't do anything late, as I'm driving back to Fareham that night and then driving back to NEC again the next day too

I made some blocks earlier to bring with me. Not sure whether to use them yet or not, but probably will.

See you all tomorrow.

I'll be semi available Thursday/Friday night, and only 20 minutes away if anyone needs any running about doing (or tools, dare i say it). If there are social activities during this time, let me know, can't do Saturday though :(

That's the point of Bella Venezia - if you just want a pizza, you can just have a pizza! It'll have to be a 7.30 pm table booking as the show doesn't close until 6.30, then we've got to get back to the cars and there will be traffic ... hopefully a few can get there ahead of us and hold the table for late arrivals? You should be away by 9.30 I would have thought?

If there are sufficient 80s chairs (courtesy Mr H) and they don't make our bottoms ache, then we may have to spurn camping chairs that lower the tone [-X

Edit - nothing planned for Fri at present Vanny, I'm sure some of us will fall in line if you want to tell us where the party is?

My camping chair is packed with attitude of the tone-lowering variety. Lower than a BX rear end after a week sitting idle, which is pretty low. Saturday night italian dining is fine with me, but my train times from Birmingham International are 2138 or one with a connection that arrives at pumpkin o'clock, so like Kitch, I'd prefer to have a prompt munch and get the earlier (less late) train. See you all tomorrow...
