Who knows! Mk1 doors do rust but they seem to be fairly rust resilient, someone needs to go take a look

Tthe owners moved to Spain for several years and took the car with them and returned home with same car, it had a brand new engine fitted in 1991 in France after the cambelt broke returning to the UK costing approx £2000.

Amazingly, this car started with fresh fuel and a battery, lifted and drove...before popping a pipe
Asides the frilly doors and surface rust to the A pillar, its solid and will be restored!
