Rubbish.
Sticky back vinyl?
The wider wheels on the back could be an issue, shame cos I quite like that 70's look, you dig?

On normal height, mine is as follows.

Front floor to arch, 64cm.

Rear , 43cm.

That gives you a second set of figures if measuring "H" is not proving too easy. 👍
Prefer it to the Lamborghini, like Signor Gandini!

Little too high at rear, is it critical? Image
Mine recently had it's height corrected. Here's the image so you can compare. It is 16.5 cm front and 16.5 cm back in terms of measurement (from lowest point on sill to ground).

Does anyone have a clear picture of where the rear height corrector rod goes through the pivot arm, my Haynes has been ruined by leaky roof.

I think is a little low at rear? Maybe it has sunk a bit.
My bro is coming today, gonna get the rear up on ramps weather permitting, to assist with some adjustments.

Mmm... As I thought something is amiss.
It appears in the bottom right pic headed REAR, where the height control rod enters the pivot it has 3 notches where the rod sits L1 and L2 in the pic, mine appears to be completely flat (worn away) along this edge so the rod is sitting "forward" permanently in position L2, hence this would throw the height out of sync?
I'm gonna remove the pivot and see if I can build it up with a bit of weld and file some new notches into it see if it makes a difference
Or if anyone has a good used one for grabs
Also noticed a weep on the h.c rubber cover, so I guess that'll be coming off as well for new seals.

I think it is meant to be flat. What you have to do is to adjust the slider on the rod so that the rod is centred in the opening when the car is at normal height. As yours is not at normal height it is impossible to adjust correctly. Have you marked up the roll bar clamp yet and tried to adjust it to get the correct height.

Not done anything yet John, I see what you mean tho, will set the rod to neutral and work from there, not touched the roll bar clamp yet that's all still as it was.

The rod is flat on my car & on the parts car, so I think that they're supposed to be flat. Maybe the early mk1 cars had the notches, but not the rest? When the hydraulics are working correctly, and the car is in normal ride height, then the rod just sits in the middle anyway, even without any notches. I first saw it on mine when it was in a 4 post ramp.

Hope that helps.

Yes it seems that's how it is, I'm gonna get it up on ramps at weekend and see what the score is, I've made a small jig with some wood so that when the axle settles onto it the height should be about right. Needs to drop about inch and half.
