I don't think that 'Boot Tidy' gizmo will catch on! The soft ones I have are much more fetching

you wouldn't want to polish the original paint anyway - it'd fall off

OK. Progress on the Red Baron front:
New bumper fittted on front (thanks Richard, Tim - and Paul)...
Went to ATS and sourced a new exhaust front pipe... fitted today (what a job!), but not too pricey.
Examination of the rear tyres (1.1mm and 1.7mm) and spare (not used in 20 years) meant urgent action required (given we're entering rainy season lol): So two part-worn Dunlops supplied, balanced and fitted on the rear (that's £45 I didn't want to spend) - and the fossilised (!) Michelin on the spare replaced by the better of the two taken from the rear.
Both rear to front fuel pipes purchased new from Citroën (£23; not bad). Will be fitted soon.
And there are still about 18 things on the list... but we'll get there.

Did 235 miles in the Red Baron today (A12, M25, M23 mostly) and it don't half go well for a humble 19n/a. Certainly didn't spare the horses (where conditions allowed!) and it was fair sprightly (relatively speaking) between 50-80 - something I didn't notice with the TXD (probably because of it's pump).
Got 46 mpg overall, which seeing as the car was held at 3,300-3,800 rpm for fairly long stretches (until the traffic got bad) is respectable. At one point where I needed to overtake lorries (there were vast numbers out there today!) to reach my exit safely ahead of them, I even clocked 87 on the TomTom. Mind you, that's not something I'd do on a regular basis!
