Thats one way to get a lower insurance premium, but you must honestly declare the mileage that you anticipate doing.

No point in paying for a policy where it provides standard 12k miles cover, if you only do 4k a year.

The rub is that if you declare you only going to do 4k, but actually exceed this, you are effectively driving uninsured. Lots of people i suspect try this, but get caught out big time when they have an accident or need to make a claim. The insurer could also if tipped off or became suspicious request proof of your mileage.

Having it in a garage helps, if you dont commute, declare that fact also. If you have a drive, make sure you mention that as off street parking is seen as less of a risk.

I'm sure theres plenty of other tips to reduce insurance premiums, best actually speak to an insurer & find out what has the biggest impact on premium.

Easy enough way round tat Mulley.
Rather, well, slightley bending the rules a tad but when you get to say your 4K limit or whatever, disconnect the speedo.

With the mileage I do i just couldn't have a limited miles policy, so I dont!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
