TIMS 16TRS

Post by Tim Leech »

Bought from Cartman last November, always wanted a olympic blue BX, ideally a 19TZS/i auto but there doesnt seem to be any left so Im making my own.

Photo taken today after a few hours of work, new front bumper fitted and GT/TZ rear rubber spoiler also attached. Rear bumper is not yet sprayed but will be on soon as will the wider rubbing strips from Mr Chidlow, Sunroof deflector also ready to fit.

Image

Needs a damn good plish after being sat for 2 months in a rather dusty garage.

Thanks james, those headlamp washers were a pig to fit without scratching the freshly painted bumpers, shame they dont work (yet). Doubt theres many in the Uk with them on.

Looks great Tim - that is a good colour! There's a BX14 here in town ( at the nutty ex-Citroen mechanic's 'garage' ) that is the same colour but unfortunately is in need of a new engine. Definately one of the best BX shades 8)

Fitted the spoiler, and the headlamp washers (did a proper job measuring it all etc etc  ) and swopped the bumpers myself too.!

I work for a VW main delaer Rob (on sales) we have our own workshops and seperate bodyshop who let me do a few jobs on my own cars in my spare time as long as I dont get in the way. One of the body guys is on holiday this week so there was a ramp free so I collared it for a couple of hours.
