... is it ? I'm very tempted by this to break for parts :

It's only about a mile up the road from my workshop. I gave it the once over, looks clean apart from a shock at the left front end bonnet, wing and headlamp bust. Same interior as mine, very low mileage for a diesel this age in France, so loads of useful stuff to recuperate. Different colour of chassis though.
Problems : broken engine (cambelt, bet it was the original), so no hydraulics. There is a severe dip to enter the courtyard where I have my workshop, all the modern cars bottom out, it will be a problem towing in a low BX. Has anybody towed a "hydraulic-less" BX ?
Also, how hard is it to angle grind a BX shell to death (never done this before) ? How big a pile of junk are you left with ?
They say that breaking up is hard to do

Billy and Vanny be your guides here. Somewhere there's a report of their collection of a disabled 4x4 BX. Ease it onto a trailer using blocks of wood to gradually raise the front.Has anybody towed a "hydraulic-less" BX ?
Sounds like a good project! You could be the first, and then we'll know how long it takes! Also, how hard is it to angle grind a BX shell to death (never done this before) ? How big a pile of junk are you left with ?
