Looks amazing but it's a lawn mower  also quite high mileage for a petrol (higher than I'd be comfortable with, anyway) but if it's got some good service history then that's a good buy for someone, definitely.

Don't forget to get the price down a little!

i'm quite intrigued by various reports of the 14 engine in the car being surprisingly nippy. I like the idea of the 14, i'd love a mk 1. And i hear there is room in the engine bay to get at stuff too. fuel economy a factor too.

Nippy may be a bit strong but they are certianly fun. I think I have used the word "perky" to describe my old 14 - great round town!

Ah, but I believe the Mk 1 only had the 'suitcase' 14 engine, best described as rattly and a bit tricky to work on...

Yeah...the Mk2 BX14 with the K1G engine ARE quite "perky" (as opposed to Pinky  ). I ran my old 14 for almost 5 yrs, and only sold it when I had g/box probs. Loads of fun, and pretty economical on the old juice too....if you're not TOO heavy on the right foot.
I'm actually considering changing my Monica (17TXD TD) for another 14 at some point in the future.....but it would have to be the "right one" for me!
