BX spotting
There are at least 5 in the Newport(Gwent) area. One is a Late Red Estate. Not sure of the model as it is parked up the owners drive off Risca road. Looks in VGC,and I noticed that the bumpers have been resprayed as they are a different shade to the car. Also the Metallic Silver TXD that I sold to Garfield, which parks just around the corner from where I work in Abercarn. I also have the 16V,which is now back together and driving, although not MOT'd yet.Still needs work for it.Usual stuff,1 rear cylinder(i replaced one a few years ago)n/s arm bearings,ABS sensor,a couple of electrical faults, and of course the cambelt. The 16V will eventually live in the South of France at my mates place near Cognac. I will fly over and use it for club meetings and holidays in France. At least it won't go rusty over there. There is also a Metallic green saloon,a Hurricane I think, and a White 19TZS.

( just did some research - it wasn't Cognac but Calvados that this story applies to. What's the difference? Just a few hundred Km's! I'm sure the BXagon will go through Normandy too!

Be rude not to have a few sharpeners then. I heard that the Allied army was delayed in its advance in the winter of '44/'45 because of all the buried and hidden Cognac that was revealed by the liberated residents. Also a huge amount ( something like 70,000) illegitimate children were born later in 1945 in the wake of the advance in France/Belgium/Holland!The BXagon teams will be passing within about 20kms of Cognac during the afternoon of 26th October...

October 28th 2009: The Bxagoneers will be passing through! Coutances, Bayeux, Caen... I reckon a stop off at the American Cemetry or a visit to Arromanches might be the order of the day. Sometime in the afternoon... en route to Dieppe (less about that the bettertoddao wrote:I'm sure the BXagon will go through Normandy too!)

Is it the Preston Townswoman's Guild that do the famous Pearl Harbour reinactment?Way2go wrote:Well, with one of those rare Preston Guilds coming up in 3 years maybe its an opportunity to organise a BX exhibition to incorporate within it?
