I've been to look at this car today. It was dark by the time i arrived but there is no mistaking it needs a new clutch and valve stem seals.

I'm going to go back in the light to have a better look.

:) Taken it off market as i has no mot at the mo plus valve stem seals and clutch need doing and with all this its worth nowt but is of sentimental value to us. Since weve had it weve spent a LOT of money on things like undersealing, rear arm bearings, bla bla bla. The minimum the car owes us is £400 and i dealy thats what we would let it go for as it is a rare colour and has a rust free body. We know with no mot (but it wiil pass im sure) it wont fetch much. Also we live to far away to attend vewings as the cars near you vanny in macclesfield. so unfortunatly the cars going to sit there and deteriorate uless some one comes up with £400 to save it which is highly unlikly plus its currently serving as a deterrant on my nannas driveway as she lives alone

Ah, didnt realise it was up this way! Perhaps if i get some time free we could meet up and get some of the interesting bits fixed?

However i doubt they would put Mr Fearn off, he's fearless im sure!

I am still interested but now its not going to have an MOT, i cant get it home.

Would it fail on an engine management light? Suppose the bulb could always be removed!

According to my fault code reader its the knock sensor.

Ian investigated knock sensor and it appears not to have one??? also light has now gone out and works as it should (had it runnig a few times while i was there) could simply be down to damp ness cause its not being used. If its still there by summer weve got plans to come over and work on it providing we have addequite funds

Maybe Billy could get his van fixed and take it down that way?

Otherwise there is a place local to me that hires a trailer out for £40 for the weekend and maybe Cav can be convinced to drive it around?? Or anyone else up for a bit of a mission (only those with special license need apply!)

More than happy to do what i can, and after the 20th i'll have a car again. Wont have a magic license till summer though!
