BX Gti 16valve for sale

Post by ds23geoff »

For Sale: 1990 BX GTI 16 Valve
£1,295

12 months MOT,6 months Tax, 133,000 miles

Just serviced. Recent new battery and reconditioned alternator. New accumulator sphere. Suspension spheres all good.
Thatcham 2 Immobiliser professionally fitted last year.

This is one of the nicest 16 Valves I’ve seen. It is an amazing car to drive.
In superb condition inside and out.

Just 2 niggles at the moment. There is a slight drip of oil from the rocker cover. The boot light doesn’t work. I don’t think either of these would take much effort to put right.

Classic Insurance cost £147 this year

Hi Vanny.
Good to hear from you! Yes the DS is back on the road. I used normal hermetite in the end and so far the cylinder seals have held no problem but thanks for the advice. I bought the 16V while the DS was in millions of bits so I had something to play with. Now the DS is up and running I'm finding I'm just not using the BX at all so it's basically in the way and has to go. I also restore pianos and a grand is on the way so I need the floor space as well!
I'm open to reasonable offers - -

Cheers!

Hi Roverman

Congratulations on the Concours win at Wetherby this weekend. That's really some Mk1 and well deserves the prize. Brilliant!

Thanks Geoff, shes a lovely old gal and drove a treat sunday and the ride is amazing, apparently I have "comfort spheres" hence the suppleness. I managed to pick up a couple of bits I needed too!
