MK 1 1986 C Reg CITROEN BX 14E FOR SALE (on Auto trader)

Post by RxBX »

Another low mileage BX that's come out into the open :!:
It's not cheap at £1,295 BUT were could you find a MK 1 that's a 1 owner and only 25k on the clock.
Its an hatchback as can be seen from the photo's but the trader has stated it's an estate which would make worth every £ as that would be a very rare find in any engine/spec. in a MK1 guise !
A nice looking BX 14 in Silver which probably won't be for sale too long after this posting :D Dealer location is Gillingham ME7 1DQ.

I noticed it has the N/S/F wheel trim missing, if any one off the Forum buy's it I have a spare one (Same style as the N/S/R) PM me if you need it.
Good luck to whoever buy's it :!:

The sellers wildly inaccurate, no Leader had electric windows or power steering and its certainly not an estate. And its £800 too much!
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Roverman,
I do think your quite correct that the Trade seller has got something wrong big time as when you look at the listing of the BX advert that 'Cross Street Car's' has advertised with the photo's/description nothing too alarming apart from that it states that's an Estate and the photo's quite clearly depict a hatchback.
Now this is where the plot thickens :!:
Click onto the tab for the vehicles Technical Data and it comes up with the following :-

Therefore Scarecrow, if I was you this database anomaly needs ironing out prior to any offers or money changing hands :!:

Anomaly? I think not; the issue here is the trader using the wrong template for their crappy advertising template. A DVLA vehicle enquiry states the car to be 1360cc, and silver.

Looks nice though, if *far* too dear...

Don't worry, no cash would have changed hands easily. I don't like the look of it somehow anyway.

It's hard keeping a perspective when you're on the lookout for a car!! There's still a part of me that's 17 when it comes to the excitement of buying another car. Thankfully the rest of me is a bit older than that and has majority rule!

I agree its worth £500 all day long as long as the prospective buyer knows what he is buying. A nice low mileage but very basic BX with a very strange engine!

ALSO a strange interior :!:

After taking a closer look at the photo's in the listing, it look's like in the two front shot's you can see Black possibly TR/TZ MK2 seats fitted to it and in the N/S rear shot the parcel shelf is Grey in colour and it's quite clear that the rear seats are Black :!:
So it may be a LOW mileage car buts it's not 100% it's original spec.
Therefore to realize it's full 'Potential classic' status (As stated in the Traders Ad.) it will need 'Potentially' some extra £'s spending to get to O/E spec. unless the the original interior/seats are included in the sale :?:
If not I would knock a least 30% off the asking price :!:
