You dont have to be THAT careful, just sensible really.
Our little (well, expanding) group have taken deckers all over the country without sat nav's and forward planning.
Infact, if you're a bloody good driver you'd be amazed where you actually can get a bus!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

I need this.

And I might get it.

Depends upon money of course. And timing. But negotiations have commenced!

Oh my God, that is gorgeous! A twin to the one that was destroyed! Buy it at once....

Happy B day.

I concur Phil, I was up visiting my mate Jon last week who let me have a go in his 1982 GSA pallas, needless to say I would very much like to own one myself now. 8)

Well I've seen more pics and got more info. It is pretty much 'as new' and the trouble is, I think it'll be out of my price-range - by about £2.5k!

But where there's a will... (never say never etc...)

What if the BX had been given the GSX treatment? Black 'Sports' interior. Lightweight, with a small, perky engine. Avant-garde colour. Cheeky advertising...

The St. Tropez? The Sport? The GT?

Not quite the same.

So, given it might cost £3800+ to get a neat GSX why not buy a black (easier to re-colour) 14TGE/16Meteor/GTi, pay to have it fixed up, resprayed in orange, ruby red, yellow whatever, and have some fun! And although (VITALLY) it's not original or indeed authentic it's still a laff. And an homage to what might've been...

Car £325. Work £425. Paint £1100. Stuff £100. Total: £1950. Still 'pricey' but for a unique 'statement' BX with a bit of a 'attitude', it'd be a more useable day-to-day ride than a precious (sacrosanct) 35-year old GSX...

Just a thought!

Too gorgeous.

If I could indulge myself to that extent (a bit like taking a good chunk of annual salary, and leaving it in a bag in a lock up), I would've kept my Ph. 2 16v. Which incidentally was over 50% cheaper even after all the work I did.

No, it's really for someone with much deeper pockets and a suitable garage to keep it in. As well as someone with the time to enjoy it.

It doesn't help that I've just forked out £3.5k on a new Mac etc.

Head ruling heart, this time. (Unless something like a windfall crops up!)

check out all those little rural barns, while you're in France, Phil!
You might just unearth a gem!!!

They should also bring in a "scrappage" scheme for computers too......give everyone a grand towards a new Mac, when ditching a Micro$oft PC!
