French BX

Hi there, got an e-mail, unsolicited, from a French guy. (Must have got my e-mail address from the BXagon site...) May be of interest to someone on here who spends time - or has a place in France? Cheap (for a secondhand car in France) but it has no CT (MOT) . So for that reason I might suggest €500 is a little optimistic...

I have pics if anyone is seriously interested and not just mildly curious! (I'm very busy at the moment Must say it looks cared for, and very tidy (although I can't comment on the interior as they're all exterior shots). Comes with a bunch of spares.

La caisse à 317.600 Km

Le moteur à 162.000Km échanger à 275.000Km par l’ancien propriétaire.

500€ à débattre.

La vidange viens d’être faite, le filtre à huile, à air et à GO son neuf.

Je la vends dans l’état.
il y à avec la voiture deux cardant neuf, un kit distribution, un kit réparation pour le répartiteur,courroies d’accessoires plaquettes AV et AR le tout neuf et emballer.

Toutes ces pièces sont fournies avec le véhicule, je n’ai plus le temps de m’en occuper donc avis au mécano.

Le tube d’échappement entre les deux pot et percé il faut le remplacer.
Les deux cardans sont donc à remplacer les cahoutchou sou couper.
La distribution et à faire et une bonne révision.

Le chassie et propre, Je n’ai jamais eu de problèmes avec.

Je la vend soit pour une personne qui veut la remettre en état soit pour pièces de toutes façons la carte grise et avec le véhicule.

Le contrôle technique n’est plus bon.

Il faut venir la chercher sur place dans l’état, je pence même avec un plateau car le contrôle n’étant plus à jour.

Something like this very occasionally turns up in the free ads from Gazoline (bi-monthly French old-car magazine), usually with a lower price tag, though it's a bargaining start-point price quoted. There's not a great demand in France for BXs requiring work.

In a British ad, the words "unfinished project" would probably have appeared (from my brief reading it needs exhaust, possibly timing to be done, has new CV joints or boots needing to be fitted, has flow-dis repair kit, possibly a timing kit and ha some minor non-essential bits too).

Due to lack of CT (MOT), is a trailering job.

The technical control is no longer good.

You have to come up on the search in the state, I even with a pence
plateau because the control is no longer current.

Don't shoot the messenger, guys! I was passing on a pretty unpromising lead. In all honesty a non-MOT'd '89 BX with a zillion kms won't rock the world of BXers will it?
