Hmm interesting, theres a company near me in leicester called servicemaster that had all its company cars painted bright yellow, from the reps focuses to the bosses Jags! And they looked horrible, mind u they had a good job done as the cars looked as if they had been painted at factory!

I bet they were difficult to shift afterwards!

Who on earth would buy a ex taxi?

Servicemaster, do they go round servicing toilets etc in the Little Chefs and the likes?

If so they had a K reg BX estate.

I know someone who's got one of those in my road! He takes it to shows... he also has another SD1 which is a Vitesse I think. And a Capri and a couple of moderns. Always doing work on one of them in his garage :)

Apparel Master were, I believe, a company who did (still do?) collect and wash/repair overalls etc.

Daytona yellow Capri? Yes please, especially a Mk1 3000E.

Tim, a few people would buy an ex-taxi. A bloke who was a regular visitor/buyer at the auction I used to work at bought mostly high/very high mileage cars. Had this theory that a) they`d have had just about every part renewed in their time and b) they must have been good cars to have done inter galatic mileages in the first place.

Actually, knowing the bloke as I do there was probably a `c` as well which would include giving them a bit of a haircut before selling them on :D

Yes Mark, EXACTLY like that one! Chris did think about selling it at one time but I couldn't afford it :(

My mate's Rover 3500S is Paprika (which is even more offensive than Turmeric). Linky: http://www.p6club.com/ Enter the site, then scroll down to November 10th 2005 and click the link. That's his car. I've driven it. It's AWESOME.

My P6 was worse, was in tobacco leaf, which is a shiity yellow brown colour, V8 tho and dovr lovely but no PAS gave me a workout ever time I drove it. Unlike my P5b which had steering so over assisted if u sneezed you would do a 180! Oh I miss that car!

Tobacco leaf is a horrific colour but Almond is the worst!

The Paprika P6 has recently had power steering fitted but I haven't driven it since. What it could use is a power-assisted clutch! Incredibly heavy.
