Indeed. Geoff Hills warned me that his exhausts tend to be more expensive than kwikfit but better quality - I'll be stunned if he beats that though!

I also suspect that it doesn't actually need more than the backbox; I think they were doing some make-work.

Sodding exhaust places I wonder if ther bosses worked for BL in the 70s!

Cant belive they said to scrap K988 PUY! They want f***ing!

Cant u just bent the exhaust hanger back in shape?

It's been weakened and flops about a bit - just wants pulling off and welding back on!

I've heard of people bolting substitute brackets on - probably through the floor. Not ideal but welding may be trick if its too close to the fuel tank.

As long as the exhaust is firmly mounted it will satisfy MOT requirements.

All done!

I love going to Hills Motors - there were several DS's, CX's, BX's... like going to a museum of knackered Citroens :)

Only took him two hours - from when I dropped it off to when he called to say it was done - and cost less than kwikfit wanted. So I'm very happy.

Wandered around Rochester while he was working, too, very pretty place! I'd forgotten just how nice it was, haven't been since I was running tour groups and then you're working so you don't really appreciate the places you're visiting!
