Washed the car today, came up very nicely, fair bit of grime & algae, however she has been off the road for 1.5years
Freshly charged battery & a few litres of fuel & she seemed to run fine.
Sticky front struts, so put some 3in1 oil down the turret holes to ease it a bit....
Booked in for an MOT, replacement cambelt, water pump & tensioner next week. so fingers crossed she'll pass.
I think i will get underneath before the mot & try & clean up the underneath as i do have a slight lhm leak, possibly from fdv. If i do try & nip it up a bit, do i have to be ultra careful?
I'll check the pipes & re-oil them etc..to make them look in good condition incase they arent...
I have a nasty suspision that i'm going to get a fail sheet as long as my arm, dont know why, but i do think this car is a bit rusty in places, lets hope its all in the non critical areas....
Got an insurance quote which seemed reasonable, so here's hoping....
Took the car for a quick spin round the block to try & get the brakes working against the rusty discs, i've missed that immediate accelaration, the diesels really are slugs in comparison...
Anybody want to give me a hand fettling the beast over the weekend
