The BX in Print!

Post by Vanny »

bit of an obvious place to see print about the BX, the GSF catalogue! But it gets better, take a look at page 83 of the 05/06 catalogue, and what picture do you see in the bottom corner, now shoot me if i'm wrong but isnt that a picture of a BX? Any idea who's the BX belongs?

This is probably why the GSF catalogue is much more helpful than my local GSF branch!

totally agree with you on that!

Theres also a small snippet in there with Eric Rimmer at the liverpool branch, now he's a funny guy and happily admits he dosnt have a clue about Cit parts, fortunately the rest of the staff do!

My local GSF is OK if you want something for a VW or Audi as prior to being taken over by GSF they were a VAG specialist.

Don't start me on my local GSF
I was approached by GSF head office to distribute 10% discount cards to our BX16v.com members which I thought was nice.
If I or my bro presents one at our local branch we are greeted with "oh I can't give you 10% but might be bale to do somethig"
I spoke to head office who confirmed that the card entitles us to 10% off everything except engines.gearboxes and special offers.
Next visit to GSF resulted in a barrage from the manager saying "I don't appreciate being told by head office to give a discount - we may as well give the stuff away"
Anyway it appears we have a new manager and it is service time for the xsara vts, oil, anti freeze brake fluid etc and filters and cambelt so we shall see how things go.
Sorry but with the hassle getting the discount and the price hikes I feel a bit let down by them lately :(

Cheers
Luke

Luke i have much the same problem to the extent the local branch are reluctant to take the 10% off, however in there case it's only because they hate the computer system :D

It's actually rare that i go to a GSF store, tend to do it over the phone, but the same tends to happen there, they don't take the 10% off. They do however usually do free p&p and i prefer that anyway!

God it would be nice to have AndySpares back, was so much better then!

pm on it's way Jon.

It would seem I have been hasty as I just spoke to my bro and the branch gave him a 10% discount today :D
Perhaps there was a good reason for the managers changing.
Hope it continues as usually they have th eparts in stock or get them quickly and they are better quality than powertrain or intermotor.

Cheers

Have had no problem claiming discount at GSF Portsmouth (Paulsgrove) branch when explaining I was a bxclubber.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.
