Doesn't appear to be rotten in any of the usual BX places, Alex :D

As it's sat with it's arse almost on the floor after 7 years without running, it was hard to see underneath, but has been kept in a clean condition in a nice dry garage!

I still believe that this car would need very little wprk to put back on the road, although getting into a "show" condition (a la Tim's Beige Beauty) would take longer and cost more.

Bargain RARE Mk1 BX GT...at the asking price of £300. I reckon he would let her go for a fair bit less, to a good home!

IIRC, the older records are kept by Key Services in Kent, who supply Citroen dealers (I sorted some out for a mid-80s CX and a Dyane not so many years ago!). It may take some persuading at a friendly Citroen dealer to get them to help. Unfortunately, I'm no longer in the position to do so :(
I suspected there would be a way given a helpful and knowledgeable parts man!

I hope that your leaving was by choice.

I would check if this car is still available! I spoke to a guy last week from the CCC who seemed very interested!

I would be delighted to hear that someone, either from CCC or here, has taken on this little gem!
(I've even made more careful overtures to the wife, just in case she'd had a rethink! Alas, no!)

BUMP !

I've just had a look on the Old Classic Car Site and seen this

Update from seller :-
"BX - Parts For Sale Ad. John Burnham (United Kingdom) (17/7).
1985 BX 1.9 GT black petrol ,advertised 2/4 originally , few enquiries but not sold. If no offers in next two weeks it will be scrapped "
Contact at 07932469478

Some-one has got to save this ^^bx> from meeting it's maker, after all where will anyone find a MK1 GT that's fairly good and reasonably priced which has been dry stored and in BLACK :!:

KEN (Newbold) you know you want this :D and as it just down the road from you :D

You could probably get this for a very keen price (As scrap prices are quite low Per tonne compared to last year) if it's day's are numbered.
BTW if any does want a spare steering wheel to swap over to get this gem home (So as not to trash the original column/lock as the key is snapped off apparently in the barrel) I should have a spare MK1 steering wheel/column without the lock/barrel available, PM if needed.

Note the date (17th July) the seller placed the last posting therefore only one week left before it meets it maker

Can be fixed in situ so it can be driven to an MOT station? If so it would be unforgivable to not save it. I'd buy it (after pay day) if someone could rescue it for me.

I agree this CANT be scrapped, the amount of Mk1 cars present at the national (i.e 1) proves how many are left. RXBX and I will try and get up saturday and get it running purely to make it more attractive. I sadly cannot afford another one or I would have snapped it up last month.

Ken? any good to you.

About 2 miles north of Doncaster, Billy!
