Very interesting of course.

( I wasn't doing 130 kmph, I just said that to appear 'hard' - they're very strict with speeding in Switz speed limit is 120.

Here's some pictures of our recent trip to Uk which culminated in arriving at Godmanchster a week too early for The National! The BX was packed to capacity with baby stuff, camping equipment and even a small 12v fridge to keep those Fürstenberg Pilsners nice and cool.
The car didn't miss a beat over 3000kms and only the 5% gradients going through the Eiffel mountains slowed it down.
We camped five places : Belgium, Uk ( farmers field in Godmanchester!Though not with the family, just a mate), Holland ( Amsterdam), Germany ( in the Eiffel) and last night in France at a wonderful campsite with a lake and suitably hot weather. Next year I promise I'll get the dates right for The National!

First night at Dinant in Belgium. Lovely place!

Fabulous locations by the look of it.

Looks like the weather wasn't too bad. Unlike at the National... trying to keep dry under the gazebo as it struggled against the wind.

Actually there were some nice moments of sunshine which made up for it.

It was mixed. Luckily it was always dry when we were putting the tent up ( the first night in Belgium featured a miraculous clearing of the angry sky as we arrived at the campsite and the sun coming blazing out) but we mostly had to pack it wet due to overnight rains. But got quite a good tan and did some swimming so I suppose we were lucky really.

Managed to get the camera off the wife for five minutes this morning to take some shots.

Here it is with its recently fitted GT type spoiler - goes nicely with the louvres but I'm sure some people will think it's over accessorised! Also fitted a complete tailblazer to replace the broken one. That's our little town in the background with the church tower sticking up.

Front view showing the newly fitted plastic short-nosed bonnet that I found in that barn of parts that a bloke's got near here. I just have to paint the front of that wing where I've repaired and primered it - it was stuffed in by the previous owner along with the original bonnet. Also some front fogs from the French scrapyards fitted.
