I'm sure thats been on before, i dont like the look of that rust near the windscreen & at that price its prime pugger fodder

He says he wont sell to a pugger and to be honest £400 is strong money for an engine donor.

I thought they'd pay upwards of £600+ for these engines as they are so rare these days?

They aint that rare.
There are some places that sell D6C's for about the £600 mark, but quite honestly it's only the pug boys that buy them at that price.

After all, you can get a complete car for less than £200.

Rust round the screeen is an easy fix with the glass out, and this car has loads of potential.

If I had the time, I'd do it, but I haven't, so someone else can have a go.

Haha, if a pugger turned up with 400 notes he'd sell that like a shot! Shame, it's a good'un underneath. He's got a host of other shite motors...fuck knows why he's selling that one!

I am now the lucky owner! It is my third BX, the last one was a '92 14TGD and the first one an '88 19TRS.
It is to replace my Cinquecento Sporting (occasional) track car, although I will be keeping it standard so I can use it on the road on classic insurance.
Kitch, do you know if the present owner has done any of the extra work you listed back in May?

Congrats mate! I'm glad it's gone to someone who actually wanted it!

I haven't spoken to Leigh since I sold it to him, but I know the car well and will give you any help/info I can. I have a grille here for it....I meant to pass it on to Leigh, but haven't seen him!
It's definately a very sound base, I can vouch for that. Get the little niggles done, with the major part being the paint and it'll be a very sorted BX indeed!
