Phase 2 BX 16v

Post by Tourist »

... spotted in WATLINGTON, my home town! I'm pretty sure this is the only valver I've seen in the flesh - didn't catch the reg but it was a later example in dark blue, looked in good condition to me. Really nice car.

Didn't make ph2 valvers in dark blue bud, twas either not a valver or a valver that's been resprayed (and I can't think of any colour from the valver range that I'd replace with dark blue  )

I'm sure it was a dark navy blue colour and definitely a valver - may be some sort of custom job then - would be interested to know more but hey, chances are the owner doesn't use this forum.

What makes you sure that it's a valver?

There are three distinct possibilities:

1) It was that (originally Black  ) Phase 2 that was re-sprayed in Subaru Blue.
2) Actually a Triton Green 16v...
3) An 8v Hurricane with skirts (Again in Green)

I've seen a Hurricane before (ar atleast the same green) in the flesh, the "valver" wasn't this colour, there were also people with me who agree that it was blue but only I can say it was a valver, since I was the only one in the car who knows the difference between different models, or atleast the later ones.

I don't think we'll ever know.
